Software
In some cases a client will
have a certain set of requirements that dictate either
developing a custom application, integrating several
applications or looking for recommendations on
purchasing a commercial product that will meet their
needs. We have the experience in handling each of these
types of projects and follow a methodology that has been
proven.
PROJECT
APPROACH
In all
projects, we take the initiative to provide documents that
will clearly describe all aspects of the project. The
steps we follow include:
-
Interviewing the prospect
We use a worksheet that clearly defines what the
requirements are, what the deliverables are and the
client’s expectations.
-
Creating the
initial project design
Once the interview has been completed, a basic layout of
the website will be created to get feedback from the
client. This in no way will be the final product, but
enough to define the scope of the project. . It will
also be determined at this time who the web hosting
company is. This is necessary to identify the cost to
the client for monthly charges and specifications
required for hosting a website (i.e. space, number of
e-mail, domain charges)
-
Creating the
project estimate
The project estimate will identify each task of the
project, including who is responsible, and the estimated
cost. A timeline will also be provided so that both ICG
and the client can see the milestones and deadlines for
the project.
Writing the
project proposal
This will be a document that will address the
requirements for each task of the project. It will be
attached to the timeline schedule developed as part of
the estimate. The proposal will then be delivered to the
client and upon approval the project will begin.
Negotiating
the contracts
A meeting will be held with the client to review the
proposal and any negotiations on estimate or payment
schedule will be discussed and approved.
Finalizing the designs
The design will then be discussed in great detail with
the appointed individuals who will be responsible for
providing input to the website layout and those who may
maintain the website once it is deployed.
Implementing
the project
Integrity Consulting Group, Inc. will be the primary
resource for developing the website and keeping track of
all aspects of the project. Each milestone will be
tracked and the current status reported to the client on
a weekly basis.
Changing
specs and contracts midstream
In the case where the scope of the project is changed, a
document will be written to identify these changes and
approval must be obtained from the client to proceed. If
this change requires additional funds these must also be
approved from the client before proceeding.
Deploying and
maintaining the project
The task of deploying the website initially will be
published by ICG. If the client chooses to then take
over the maintenance of the website they will be in
charge of publishing the website.
Assisting
with the marketing
Ways of marketing the website can be discussed with the
client if they choose to. The advertising of this
website could be handled through different media, such
as search engine submission, radio, commercials, flyers
or addition to current brochures that are part of the
company’s existing marketing materials.
